Bollywood film maker Kabir Khan is all set to create an cinematic adaption of India’s first world cup win of 1983. Which is 35 years after the men in blue defeated the West Indies team. Through one of the sources talking to the mid-day says that a mammoth event is going to be organised in order to announce the film on the 27th September 2017. The makers hope that this film would bring the cup back home once again during this occasion.
The Manager of the Indian Cricket Team in 1983 and the Former Secretary of the Cricket Association in Hyderabad tells mid-day that he would be accompanying 14 team members to Mumbai helping them know whatever they need. Kabir khan to this says that the news had already picked the attention of all the members in the film industry, with rumours over casting creating a buzz indeed. Although the names of Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan have been tossed for the movie, it is emerging that Arjun Kapoor success in his latest movie Mubarakan is making them decide to give away the role of Kapil Dev to him. An official announcement is expected at the event.
The film 1983 world cup win is jointly going to be produced none other than the Phantom Films and Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is the founder and managing director of the Celebrity Cricket League.
