Playing a Role of Alauddin Khilji Deeply Effects Ranveer Singh Making Him Visit Psychiatrist

Ranveer Singh even today is known to be getting deep into the character he is playing. In his last film Bajirao Mastani we have seen him putting a lot of effort and giving the best for the role played in it, and the same continues to be with the movie Padmavati.

We have now come to know that while Ranveer Singh was preparing his role for Alauddin Khilji in the movie Padmavati, he took the same rote as he played in Peshwa Bajirao. It’s believed that he has locked himself in the apartment for a week staying headspace for a week. He said that getting out of the darkness, intimidating the mind-set was never that easy. The film has been shot for almost a year now and sustaining the role of Alauddin Khilji turned out to be really challenging.

It is believed that the role has affected him through reactions and behaviour with people around him. Which is why his friends had suggested him to get help from a psychiatrist in order to get rid from the Khilji influences. Turning out to play the role of Alauddin Khilji who is in short a menacing, cruel and an anti-hero in Sanjay Leela Bansali Film Padmavati, Ranveer was explored to such hidden depths of negativity that he had to visit a psychiatrist in order to get back really normal.


It’s never been surprising that he has gone into an extreme role of negativity in his mentor’s Sanjay Leela Bansali Film. During his shoot for the film Bajirao Mastani third act, Ranveer had actually made him feel ill of the characters trauma, triggering convulsions. He had actually landed up blocking the film sets during the third act of the film leaving the entire film unit anxious. Witnesses from the shoot say that their eyes had rolled back and his veins seems to be popping out. It was believed that he had some fit of sorts which had made the entire film set worried that they immediately rushed them into a home of local political dignitary calling for medical help.

Hours later when Ranveer Singh woke up, he did not remember any single thing that happened, and had built such a deep connection with Peshwa Bajirao suffering that the trauma had an adverse physical reaction on him. While Bollywood actors are generally believed to get authenticity to the film, Ranveer Singh has taken this as a notch up. And as he has successfully managed his role of Peshwa Bajirao convincing the audiences, we can then expect brilliant of performances from him in the upcoming movie Padmavati.

We hope that Ranveer is able to unwind from the character of Alauddin Khilji soon so that we have him as a happy go lucky guy soon
